WikiComments (About)Edit

WikiComments (WC) is an independent platform supported by WikiLetters. WikiComments is complementary to a number of other platforms supporting science. It allows journals, scientists, researchers, students and maybe others to store the meta information about articles which have been intensively commented by another article. In other words, the meta about both articles critically assessed and the article assessor. These connections ought to benefit other researchers aiming to read and maybe even use contents from the article being commented upon, because other researchers can then read these comments and benefit from it.

Articles of comments are very similar to any other article. However, comments are quite often a thoughtfully discussion towards someone's finding. However, the current system of science is very much overloaded so that this special category of articles tend to be lost amongst the so many traditional articles merely commenting another one (~90-95% of all citations are neutral).

Following the wiki-ecosystem, here you are not required to provide your personal details, and here your submitted connections becomes available online instantaneously so others can have access to all.

Furthermore, WikiComments gives you the opportunity to provide a brief discussion about the comment and even highlight the key-points an article provided about another one (e.g. a brief summary). The freedom you have here is very much in the core of a wiki-ecosystem.

WikiComments (Content contribution)Edit

Figure 1: Suggested template to provide your information.
To contribute to WikiComments is fairly simple, and quite similar to creating a Wikipedia article.

A similar written explanation for consideration:

, and a few tutorials for consideration:

You need to initially search for the DOI (Digital Object Identifier) of an article been commented upon (e.g. doi.org/0123/456/789abcd) inside WikiComments to confirm it's non-existence. The confirmation of non-existence would provide you a result displaying the sentence:

Create the page "Doi.org/0123/456/789abcd" on this wiki!

From this point, you are welcome to click over the title in red to create this new information.

Note: please just remember to search for a DOI including only the prefix "doi.org/" which will be automatically converted to "Doi.org/" for the page creation. Therefore, do not include any "http://" or "https://" as a prefix to a DOI.

WikiComments (Structure)Edit

It is suggested a very simple structure that contains the information about an article being commented upon and the article providing the comments. You may click on (Random page) at the left-menu to see a random page as an example. Alternatively, see the example below

Note: Please consider the very basic headings displayed in Figure-1. However, if you are welcome to include additional headings and sub-headings whenever needed.
